The New Business Advocate is responsible for managing the service-related onboarding process of new advisors for Orion. As new advisors bring their first piece of business to our platform the New Business Advocate will gain an understanding of the advisor’s needs and train them on our service structure, technology tools and good order requirements. The New Business Advocate will oversee the entire advisor experience from an operational perspective to ensure it is seamless and monitor future requests until the advisor is proficient and confident growing their business on our platform.

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Onboard and train new offices/reps with a heightened level of operational guidance and direct contact.
  • Analyze and understand the advisor’s business model in order to best incorporate Orion tools and solutions.
  • Liaison between sales and service to ensure operational processes are consistently implemented with the new advisor’s office.
  • Possess and continue to build a strong understanding of our technology offerings, custodial requirements and servicing capabilities.
  • Proactively engage with the advisor and the advisor’s staff to build a strong relationship and powerful first impression of our service model.
  • Build and deliver multimedia training materials that advisors can utilize during onboarding and in the future.
  • Monitor the advisor’s “first piece of business” life cycle to ensure the office is able execute independently and effectively on our platform.
  • Monitor and mentor service team associates to heighten their attention to detail when working with new advisors.
  • Clearly communicate and provide direction to advisors when additional information if needed to successfully complete requests.
  • For large or strategic advisor relationships, deliver onsite training.

Skills Needed to Perform the Job

  • Knowledge of Orion operational processes and technology.
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining careful attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team environment.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and address competing priorities.
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Effective written, listening and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective problem solving and organizational skills.

Education Needed to Perform the Job

  • Minimum of a high school diploma, or equivalent, required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business related field preferred.
  • Orion Industry Certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Experience Needed to Perform the Job

  • Minimum of 1 year of financial services experience.

Salary Range:

$22.56 - $32.73

The pay listed in this posting indicates the estimated pay at the time of this posting; however, may vary depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
