About this Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced, high-performing corporate communications senior manager who will help shape and maintain a positive corporate image and reputation for Orion with internal team members, clients, media and other external stakeholders. The senior manager of Corporate Communications is responsible for leading all aspects of internal/employee communications, including CEO and Executive Team communications, companywide meetings and events, and large change management initiatives. This role will also provide ongoing support for public relations, crisis communications and client communications. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of corporate communications experience, preferably in the financial services or financial technology industries. We can consider external candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule in one of our following offices: Omaha, NE, Berwyn, PA, Sacramento, CA

In this role, you'll get to:

  • Be responsible for the strategy and execution of all Orion employee communications and communication channels, ensuring employees understand and are connected to the company’s vision/goals and are engaged in achieving them.

  • Work with the CEO, Executive Team, internal thought leaders and broader Marketing team to create internal and external communications programs that support various company-wide goals.

  • Develop communication and messaging strategies to deliver critical organizational updates to internal, client and industry-wide audiences in creative and innovative ways.

  • Build and deliver impactful internal communications and social media programs to engage employees, build trust with the leadership, and connect the workforce to important updates and information.

  • Work to mitigate brand risks, supporting the EVP of Communications with crisis communications.

  • Develop communication channel strategy utilizing best in class platforms and tools to communicate with key stakeholders, suggest/implement new initiatives to keep the company on the cutting edge of communication practices.

  • Leverage multiple communication channels to deliver internal communications (meetings, webinars, social engagement platforms, events, surveys, podcasts, social media, etc.)

  • Work with Marketing teams to determine how larger campaigns can be supported by internal communications and public relations.

  • Partner with HR leadership on employer brand building, corporate responsibility programs promoting Orion as a great place to work.

  • Support executive leaders with communications counsel, media preparation, presentation coaching and speechwriting.

  • Remain current on communication and creative trends by participating in ongoing education, including seminars, conferences, and industry events.

  • Review, edit and provide feedback to internal resources regarding communication deliverables in a timely manner.

  • Ensure day-to-day deliverables assigned to the Communication Team are on-time and of the highest quality.

We're looking for talent who has:

  • Discretion when handling confidential information

  • Story-telling skills with the ability to simplify complex topics

  • Brand journalism experience and strong copywriting skills

  • Mastery of communications technology and tools (Zoom Webinar, Slack, Workplace, SurveyMonkey, social media tools, project management software, design, etc.)

  • Experience in mitigating brand risk through timely, transparent communications

  • Excellent judgement and the ability to counsel senior-level executives

  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining careful attention to detail and on-time delivery

  • Ability to gather and organize information from multiple sources

  • Has minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field

  • Has minimum 10 years of experience in communications

  • Preferably has experience working within the financial services industry

  • Obtain Orion Industry Certification

  • Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and work effectively with people at all levels in an organization

Salary Range:

$90,784.00 - $140,617.00

The pay listed in this posting indicates the estimated pay at the time of this posting; however, may vary depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
