The Opportunity
As a CloudOps Team Lead, you will partner with Product, DevOps, and Engineering to drive the stability of the product as a whole. You and your team will be responsible for the monitoring, maintenance, and software deployment of Cloud and On-Prem products.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of CloudOps Engineers to drive product stability, availability, and performance
  • Recruit and provide leadership, coaching and career planning for team members
  • Be accountable for proactively monitoring new and existing products, proactively escalating issues and seeking assistance to overcome obstacles
  • Partner with Product, DevOps, and Engineering to consult on solution feasibility and high-level effort estimation
  • Provide architectural guidance to cross-functional teams towards our PDI Cloud & Platform strategy
  • Make recommendations for technology adoption, framework improvement, analyzing trends, patterns, and best practices for software
  • Serve as the evangelist and custodian of technology, architecture, and best practices
  • Participate in the design & implementation of production cloud grade services supporting high availability.
  • 10+ years of combined experience in enterprise architecture and CloudOps
  • Working experience with scaled software architecture & domain: performance, redundancy, failover, clustering, vertical scaling
  • Run the production environment by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health
  • Gather and analyze metrics from both operating systems and applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding (Dynatrace)
  • Working experience with Windows, AWS, and Networking
  • Preferred: working experience with orchestration, automation, and configuration management processes & related CloudOps tools & cloud platforms
  • Preferred: working experience with event-based systems, streaming architecture & related technologies
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a desire to help others and take action
  • Requires strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into non-technical terms
  • Ability to independently work as a contributing member in a high-paced and focused team
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with competing deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to socialize ideas and influence decisions without direct authority
  • Collaborative in nature with a strong desire to dig in and learn independently and as well as through asking questions
  • Considers ‘best-practice’ standards, as well as departmental policies and procedures.
