Installation Engineer (Bristol/Bath/Newport) Contract Length = 4-6 month

The PDI Field Service Installation team offers installation, training and onsite support for EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale), Back office (BOS) and Head Office (HOS), payment and loyalty solutions to the UK and Ireland fuel forecourt and convenience retail sectors.

The Field Service Installation Engineers currently work weekdays only, between the hours of 8:30am and 5pm, though on install days the hours worked will be determined by the requirement of the install.

As each install is scheduled around the customers’ requirements, the Installation engineer must be flexible with the hours required on install days. This could involve the requirement to work overnight and staying away from home as required.

As installations may not be scheduled every day, the installation engineers will also be required to carry out field service jobs, and there may be a requirement to cover sickness and holiday.

Responsibilities:

  • Surveying sites prior to Installation
  • Attending pre-installation meetings / conducting pre-checks
  • Installation of EPOS (Electronic Point of Sale), Back office (BOS) and Head Office (HOS), payment and loyalty solutions
  • Asset registration
  • On-site training
  • On site Go-Live handholding
  • Assigned Training Courses
  • Associated engineer paperwork

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Full UK driving license
  • Installation experience
  • Excellent customer facing skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work away from home

Preferred skills but not essential:

  • SPA Passport.
  • Service delivery experience.

  • Desire to succeed and deliver exceptional output
  • Self-starter
