Key Responsibilities

• Lead technical design and architecture decisions for the React Native mobile
  application, providing mentorship to fellow team members.
• Independently drive small to medium-sized mobile initiatives from design through
  release, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
• Collaborate proactively with Product Management to validate solution feasibility,
  define technical approaches and estimate high-level effort for mobile features.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements to mobile architecture, state management
  patterns, data models, and development frameworks within the React Native
  ecosystem.
• Actively contribute hands-on to software development using React Native,
  TypeScript, JavaScript, MobX, Node.js, and REST APIs supporting the mobile
  platform.
• Review pull requests to ensure high standards for code quality, maintainability, and
  performance.
• Own the testing strategy and quality assurance for mobile features, including
  automation coverage using tools such as Maestro.
• Own the troubleshooting, debugging, and resolution of complex production and
  development issues across mobile clients and supporting backend services.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to occasionally contribute to backend or
  platform codebases to enable full-stack feature delivery and system improvements,
  accelerate development, improve code quality, and support efficient cross-stack
  problem solving.
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders, providing clear status updates,
  technical insights, and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Advanced proficiency and extensive hands-on experience in JavaScript and
  TypeScript.
• Strong experience building and maintaining React Native mobile applications at
  scale.
• Experience with state management frameworks such as MobX or similar.
• Experience integrating mobile applications with Node.js services and REST APIs.
• Experience implementing and maintaining mobile CI/CD pipelines using GitHub
  Actions.
• Experience writing unit tests and mobile automation tests, ideally using tools such
  as Maestro or similar mobile testing frameworks.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving production issues across mobile applications
  and backend services.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows and modern developer
  productivity tooling
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure
• Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals (OOP, data structures,
  algorithms).
• Candidates must demonstrate the ability to effectively leverage AI tools, automation, and modern AI technologies to enhance productivity, problem-solving, and innovation in their daily work. Proven ability to use AI-powered tools to improve efficiency, accelerate development, and solve complex problems. AI proficiency is required: ability to use and adapt to modern AI tools and technologies as part of day-to-day work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Full-stack development experience including Node.js services supporting mobile
  applications.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Open Telemetry,
  Grafana, DataDog, or Sumo Logic.
• Experience maintaining or upgrading projects across major framework versions
  (React Native, Node.js, TypeScript).
• Experience implementing or improving mobile build, testing, and release pipelines.
• Experience deploying and managing mobile application distribution.
• Prior experience serving as a technical lead, mentor, or senior contributor on
  engineering teams.
