The Opportunity

Join Planview's corporate accounting team in Austin, TX — a global, high-growth SaaS company with accounting operations spanning the US, Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Sweden, Australia, and Israel. This is a front-row seat to the financial operations of a complex, multi-entity, global organization.

We are looking for a Team Leader who leads from the front — rolling up their sleeves alongside the team, driving continuous improvement, and keeping pace with a global organization that is constantly evolving. You will partner closely with the Director of Accounting, mentor a team of staff and senior accountants in Austin and play a hands-on role in shaping how our accounting function scales across multiple countries and entities.

We have invested in a robust, best-in-class technology stack to support our global operations — including NetSuite, FloQast, Trovata, Tesorio, Ivalua and Concur. You will not just use these tools; you will be expected to know them deeply, improve how we use them, and help bridge our accounting operations with the AI capabilities we are actively building into our workflows.

We are an AI-forward team. You will be encouraged to leverage our AI tools in your daily work and to build AI agents within FloQast that automate and elevate how we operate. We invest in our people and our tools — and we expect our people to push both to their limits.

This role is the defined path to Accounting Manager. We will invest in your development, give you increasing ownership, and set you up to step into that seat. If you want a clear trajectory, real challenge, and work that actually matters — this is it!

What You'll Do

  • Lead by example alongside a team of staff and senior accountants in Austin — this is a player-coach role where you are in the work, not above it.
  • Oversee daily accounting operations with a focus on expense management using the Ivalua procurement tool, execution quality, and continuous process improvement.
  • Own the timely and accurate completion of monthly financial closes for the US, Canada, and Australia in accordance with GAAP.
  • Review and approve journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, upholding the highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
  • Own end-to-end global Travel & Expense management through Concur, ensuring policy compliance, timely reimbursements, and audit-ready records across all entities.
  • Drive T&E adoption and process improvements across international teams, standardizing workflows and improving the employee experience globally.
  • Administer FloQast, our month-end tracking platform for reporting tasks and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Apply NetSuite expertise to optimize workflows, reporting, and integrations as our ERP environment evolves with company growth — bringing curiosity about how AI capabilities within the platform can be leveraged to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze accounts payable aging, manage weekly payment runs, and oversee AP invoice approvals to maintain financial integrity.
  • Lead global cash forecasting by country continuing the implementation of Trovata to support scalable, data-driven cash management.
  • Conduct technical accounting research and contribute to the development and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support the preparation of annual financial statements, including footnotes and disclosures.
  • Assist with the annual audit by coordinating with auditors and ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Leverage AI tools to streamline research, documentation, analysis, and day-to-day accounting workflows.
  • Design, build, and deploy AI agents within FloQast to automate month-end tasks, reconciliation workflows, and reporting processes.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities where technology can reduce manual effort and improve accuracy

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA license, or actively working toward CPA certification.
  • 4+ years of relevant accounting experience; a blend of public accounting and industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in a high-growth, acquisition-driven environment — comfort with change, integration complexity, and evolving processes is essential.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and the ability to conduct independent technical accounting research.
  • Solid hands-on experience with NetSuite and a genuine curiosity about how its AI features can improve accounting workflows and reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and planning skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency; solid command of Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Clear and effective communicator — written and verbal — with staff and senior management alike.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and troubleshoot effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Curiosity about AI tools and a genuine willingness to adopt new technology to improve how work gets done; prior AI tool experience is a plus.
  • Based in Austin, Texas, working in-office on Thursdays.

Growth and Career Plan

Planview has completed 13 acquisitions — each one adding complexity, scope, and opportunity for the people doing the work. With each integration, our accounting team has had to evolve, adapt, and level up.

That pace of change creates real opportunity for people who lean in. This Team Leader role is

intentionally structured as the launchpad to Accounting Manager — a seat you can earn by demonstrating ownership, leadership, and the ability to drive results in a complex, multi-entity, global environment.

You will be mentored by the Director of Accounting, exposed to the full breadth of our global operations, and positioned at the intersection of systems evolution, AI adoption, and organizational growth. Few roles in corporate accounting offer this combination of hands-on impact and upward trajectory.

We believe the accountants who will lead this profession are those who combine deep technical rigor with the ability to harness AI, navigate complexity, and continuously improve how teams work. This is your opportunity to become that professional.

If you want to learn a lot and grow fast — this is the position for you!
