What You'll Do

  • Contribute to security and compliance initiatives that support continuous improvement and align with the organization’s governance, risk management, and compliance strategy.
  • Collaborate with technical and non‑technical teams, corporate departments, and leadership to ensure compliance requirements are understood and met.
  • Perform internal assessments and evaluations (including but not limited to including control reviews, risk assessments, access reviews and gap analyses) and provide recommendations to management on the adequacy and effectiveness of security and compliance controls.
  • Analyze data and processes from multiple sources to identify control weaknesses and potential compliance risks. Monitor and maintain compliance with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, and GDPR.
  • Support external audits by preparing evidence, coordinating with auditors, and tracking remediation activities.
  • Review and update security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure accuracy and alignment with regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Track and report on compliance metrics, risks, and control effectiveness.
  • Assist with vendor risk assessments and third‑party security reviews.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of controls, processes, and audit evidence.
  • Work with teams across the organization to ensure security and compliance obligations are consistently followed.
  • Stay current on changes in regulations, industry standards, and emerging risks.
  • Support the delivery and continuous improvement of the employee security awareness training program.
  • Support Business Continuity Program (BCP) and Business Impact Analysis (BIA) exercises

What You'll Bring

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar area of study
  • 2-3 years experience in security compliance, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Understanding of common security frameworks and regulations.
  • Experience applying compliance frameworks to cloud native technology platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Understanding of IT audit practices, IT Risk/Control frameworks, legal, privacy, and regulatory compliance standards such as ISO27001, SOC2, GDPR, etc.
  • Strong analytical, documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and manage multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with risk management concepts.
  • Certifications such as Security+, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, CISA, or similar are a plus.
