The Opportunity
The Professional Services organization is looking for qualified candidates for the position of Solution Architect. The Solution Architect plays a pivotal role within Professional Services, serving as the bridge between a customer’s strategic vision and the successful delivery of that vision through Planview products and solutions. As the first responder post-sale, the Solution Architect translates sales commitments into real-world value, engaging with customers, guiding implementation teams, and designing scalable, outcome‑driven solutions. This role requires strong industry knowledge, business acumen, and the ability to lead customers through strategic decision-making while ensuring the integrity and success of the solution design.

What You'll Do
- Value Realization: Ensure implementations deliver maximum value.
- AI Readiness: Translate customer problems into practical AI use cases; architect how AI models integrate into the broader solution; assess and guide:
- Data quality
- Data completeness
- Data structure / governance
- AI Adoption: Help customers:
- Trust the outputs
- Embed AI into decision-making
- Capability Scope Selection: Recommend the right capabilities, products, and solutions aligned to customer needs.
- System Connectivity & Integrations: Define the high‑level integration approach and ensure seamless system connectivity.
- Documentation: Produce high‑quality scope documents, diagrams, and guidelines.
- Collaboration: Partner with implementation consultants, integration teams, product experts, and training resources. Collaborates / provides and obtains feedback to / from sales, renewals, marketing, product teams, customer success, services and strategic partners on a regular basis
- Continuous Improvement: Assess implemented solutions and identify opportunities to optimize.
- Scalability: Design for future growth and capability expansion.
- Design & Planning: Develop high‑level architectural designs, data flow concepts, and scalability considerations.
- Analysis: Document the functional scope and partner with stakeholders to refine needs.
- Value Blueprinting: Contribute to pre‑sales and post‑sales value definition and transition.
- Execution & Delivery Support: Guide implementation teams, validate scripts, and support customer enablement.
- Coaching: Support customers in operationalizing capabilities and adopting best practices.
- On Time & On Budget: Work closely with Planview Engagement Managers and Implementation team in delivering solutions on time, on budget in accordance with customer expectation.
- Mentor and Monitor: Project team consultants and partners who may be assigned to implementations.
- Thought Leadership: Develops and delivers thought leadership content (blogs, whitepapers, webinars, etc.).
Required Qualifications
- Up to 10 years in:
- Solution Design, Technical Architecture, or similar
- Proven track record of:
- Leading end-to-end implementations
- Delivering customer-facing MVPs
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Deliver incremental value quickly
- Work in ambiguity
- Iterate based on feedback
- Proficiency with integrating:
- APIs
- Enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, SaaS platforms, etc.)
- Ability to:
- Translate AI/technical concepts into business outcomes
- Influence customer decisions
- Drive adoption
- Ability to:
- Identify when AI is appropriate (and when it’s not)
- Create generative AI use cases
- Experience with Planview products or similar PPM/Work Management platforms.
- Background in enterprise portfolio management, strategic planning, or process optimization.
- Experience designing scalable, cross‑functional architectures that include AI.
- Experience designing enterprise, platform solutions
- Familiarity with Agile, Lean, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
