As a Senior Business Analyst (hybrid role based in either Denver, CO, or Naperville, IL), you will be responsible for supporting several major applications and departmental processes, as well as implementing projects that help various departments improve their processes and workflows. You will play a critical role in shaping and executing cross-functional initiatives that drive organizational growth, optimize efficiency, and achieve strategic objectives.
You must be comfortable working within a collaborative flat organization, have strong time management skills with the ability to work autonomously, the ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously, assist in defining and driving solutions to complex problems, and constantly looking for ways to improve processes. You will act as a liaison across the organization, working with a variety of stakeholders that play various roles in different projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Sales, Marketing, Finance) to identify opportunities for process optimization, enhanced operational efficiency, and improved customer experience.
- Partner with Operations teams to evaluate, prioritize, select, and implement relevant systems and tools, including training on the new systems/tools.
- Use professional knowledge, judgment, and analysis in making decisions or recommending a course of action to resolve a business need.
- Make recommendations on applications for scalability, improved efficiencies, and risk mitigation.
- Document business requirements using interviews, workshops, and/or existing systems documentation or procedures to effectively capture business requirements for systems upgrades/enhancements.
- Lead and conduct design, configuration, documentation, testing, training, implementation, and support for new systems and/or tools for strategic projects.
- Develop user acceptance test (UAT) plans and manage the UAT execution; document test results and monitor and report testing results and status to IT leadership and business stakeholders.
- Perform the responsibilities of a project manager for assigned initiatives, including creating and keeping up project plans and status reports, meeting coordination, and communication with stakeholders.
- Create and/or update process documentation, data flows, and system dependency maps to ensure downstream impacts of future changes are known and dependencies are addressed.
- Perform application support, including troubleshooting user reported problems, and address scheduled and ad hoc requests in a timely manner.
- Manage consultants working on department related projects including oversight of workflow and review of completed work, when applicable.
- Stay up to date with current technologies and technical developments, especially in regard to assigned applications and business functions.

- Experience working with outside vendors for solution implementation and support.
- Experience in database management, working with complex SQL queries.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding Microsoft Office Suite skills.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or relevant work experience.
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Operations leader in the financial services industry delivering innovative and strategic projects.
- Experience effectively working with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Fund Accounting, Shareholder Accounting and Data Management solutions preferred.
- Public financial services or mutual fund experience a plus.
- CPA designation a plus
- Management experience a plus.
