Intro and job overview:

Precisely’s Summer Internship Program is a paid, part-time opportunity for undergraduate students actively enrolled in university. This is an 8-week program that begins June 10th and concludes August 2nd. This opportunity is 100% remote preferably in the eastern or central time zone. The Data Operations Intern will work closely with the DataOps team who is responsible for the continuous improvement of Precisely’s data in Salesforce, NetSuite, and other enterprise systems. The DataOps Intern will analyze new and existing data sources, both human and machine generated, to develop data pipelines to increase the quality, fidelity, and precision of our data.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Analyze source and target systems data using tools such as Snowflake, MS SQL, Azure SQL, Trillium DQ, Tableau, Python and Microsoft Excel.
  • Improve the quality of master data to reflect customer and product strategy and segmentation and to enable better insights to be generated from the data.
  • Build process automation using tools such as Silectis Magpie, Workato, Microsoft Power Automate, Precisely Data Integrity Suite, and SSIS.
  • Improve documentation for the Data Dictionary, Data Mapping Documentation, and Business Glossary using tools such as Precisely Govern, LucidChart, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Sharepoint.

Requirements and qualifications:

  • Strong analytic skills including Excel Pivot Tables, Excel Power Pivot, Excel Get & Transform (Wrangle), Tableau, and scripting languages such as Python.
  • Facility with ANSI SQL language.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
