Intro and job overview:

  • As a Software Engineer II in a product development organization, you will be part of the team that designs and develops cloud applications in the Data Quality domain. You will collaborate with architects, product managers, and other software developers for developing product features. You are expected to be hands-on in Java and up to date with the latest development technologies such as REST API and Cloud Applications.

Responsibilities and Duties:

As a Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of our software products.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design & Development of Java Applications.
  • End to end technical ownership of Product features.
  • Effort estimation, participation in Agile ceremonies, design/code reviews, etc.
  • Evaluate, learn, and incorporate new technologies into new and existing frameworks and solutions as applicable.
  • Participate / own technical designs, constructively suggest, and receive ideas & feedback for solutions.
  • Collaborate with other team members, also work with cross-functional teams as required.
  • Improve quality of code & work on Non-Functional Requirements such as Performance, Scalability, Reliability, etc.
  • Collaborating with team members to address internal and external customer issues promptly and effectively.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in the software industry with a proven track record in product development.
  • Bachelor's degree (BE/BTech/MCA or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related technical field from a reputable institution.
  • Good understanding of Design Patterns & Java core concept and hands on experience to apply them in day to day design.
  • Experience in in Java for backend development, familiarity with frontend scripting languages such as Node.js and React.js is a plus.
  • Understanding and experience with databases like MongoDB, Postgres.
  • Exposure to cloud-native technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, and microservices architecture is highly desirable.
  • Basic understanding of agile and scrum methodologies is a must.
  • Experience of AWS/Azure/GCP, Redis, Security Domain, Datadog, Codefresh, hands on Terraform is a plus.
