Overview:

As a Data Engineer with expertise in spatial datasets you will join our Data Development team. This role focuses on integrating geospatial data sources to support geospatial analytics and location-based services. You will work closely with business stakeholders and product teams to deliver high-quality spatial data solutions that drive business insights and operational efficiency.

What you will do:

  • Integrate geospatial data sources (e.g., satellite imagery, GPS, GIS layers) into enterprise data platforms.
  • Develop and maintain spatial databases and data models (e.g., PostGIS).
  • Own and maintain production data pipelines and processes.
  • Implement systems and processes that enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
  • Diagnose and triage spatial data issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Ensure all quality standards are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Provide ongoing product support and collaborate with the Support team.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Spatial Science, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geoinformatics, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on spatial or geospatial data.
  • Familiarity with SQL or Python.
  • Experience with GIS platforms (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS).
  • Familiarity with spatial indexing, coordinate systems, and map projections.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate spatial data needs into technical solutions.
