Senior Backend Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our core team. You'll work on high-impact systems that serve thousands of concurrent users, contribute to modernization and microservices initiatives, and help shape how we build software in the age of AI.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement high-quality, scalable backend solutions in C/C++ and Go
• Contribute to system modernization efforts and microservices architecture
• Take ownership of features end-to-end — from architectural design through production
• Champion Design-First Development practices — ensuring features are properly planned, documented, and reviewed before implementation
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve code quality
• Optimize and refactor existing systems to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Debug and solve complex issues across various layers of the application
• Collaborate closely with team members to raise the bar on quality, standards, and engineering practices
• Bring an architectural perspective to day-to-day work — seeing the big picture beyond individual tasks

Requirements:

• 7+ years of backend development experience in C/C++, Go, SQL
• Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (Copilot, Cline, Cursor, or similar) — a must
• Experience with back-end distributed systems
• Architectural thinking — seeing the big picture beyond individual tasks
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Proficient in English
• Experience with AWS Cloud services – Big advantage
• Experience working on enterprise-scale systems supporting thousands of users in production – Big advantage
• Knowledge and orientation in web security – Big advantage
• Experience with performance optimization and profiling tools – Big advantage
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices – Big advantage
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog) – Big advantage
