JOB DESCRIPTION: Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager will lead our warehouse operations, ensuring efficient and effective management of inventory, logistics, and the overall warehouse facility. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a well-organized and productive warehouse environment.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping.

  • Develop and implement warehouse policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure compliance and efficiency.

  • Manage and optimize inventory levels, conducting regular stock checks and reconciliations.

  • Coordinate with suppliers and logistics providers to ensure timely receipt and delivery of goods.

  • Lead and supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess warehouse performance and productivity.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve any warehouse-related issues or discrepancies.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and on-time order fulfillment.

  • Implement and maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse performance to senior management.

  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 years of proven experience in warehouse management and logistics operations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

  • Knowledge of inventory management best practices and software.

  • Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations and practices.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Forklift certification and knowledge of material handling equipment.

  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.

  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to work in a warehouse environment, including lifting and moving items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Standing and walking for extended periods.

WORK LOCATION: Somers, WI (Multi-Site Responsibility – Somers, WI and Gurnee, IL)

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full-time

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Travel to Gurnee location
