The Role:
Join our team as an Inventory Supervisor and play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless inventory management across two dynamic plants! Reporting directly to the Senior Materials Manager, you'll lead a talented multisite inventory team. Your primary mission will be to maintain precise inventory levels, reduce discrepancies, and ensure timely material availability to fuel production and operations. Collaborate closely with production, warehouse, and materials departments to optimize inventory processes and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives. What You Will Do:
- Oversee inventory management activities for two manufacturing plants, ensuring alignment with company objectives and operational requirements.
- Lead and mentor a team of Inventory Control Coordinators and a Cycle Counter, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures, including cycle counting, stock reconciliation, and inventory audits, to maintain accuracy and integrity of inventory data.
- Coordinate with production planning and operations, materials, and warehouse teams to understand production schedules, demand forecasts, and material requirements, ensuring adequate inventory levels to support manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with the warehouse department to optimize inventory storage, handling, and organization, ensuring efficient utilization of space and adherence to safety standards.
- Partner with the materials department to monitor supplier performance, lead times, and material availability, proactively identifying and addressing any supply chain risks or disruptions.
- Analyze inventory data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of discrepancies, and areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions and process enhancements as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory reviews and reconcile discrepancies, investigating variances and implementing corrective measures to prevent future issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory management, including FIFO (First In, First Out), shelf-life management, and inventory valuation.
- Support cross-functional teams and initiatives aimed at optimizing inventory accuracy, reducing costs, and improving overall supply chain efficiency.

What You Will Bring:
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in inventory management in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.
- Solid understanding of inventory control principles, procedures, and best practices.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
- CPIM, CIOP, CIMP, CPIM or other inventory-related relevant certifications is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Extended periods of sitting up to 50% of the time.
- Constantly operating computers and office equipment. Multiple daily transactions in the system.
- Occasional lifting up to 60 pounds.
