The Role:

The E-Commerce Fulfillment Planning Manager will lead a team of E-Commerce Fulfillment Planners and Deployment Planners, combining key responsibilities from Demand Planning, E-Commerce, and Deployment to drive a seamless approach to planning and execution. This role is responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of demand plans, leveraging forecasting tools, and ensuring collaboration with the Amazon Sales Team to translate data into actionable plans. The manager will focus on improving forecast accuracy, optimizing inventory deployment, and ensuring efficient replenishment across the 3PL network to meet operational goals and enhance customer satisfaction.

In addition to hands-on planning and execution, this role will provide leadership, coaching, and development to the fulfillment planning team, driving process improvements, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring alignment with business strategies. The E-Commerce Fulfillment Planning Manager will also play a critical role in issue resolution, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives to support the evolving needs of the Amazon Business Team.

What You Will Do:

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of E-Commerce Fulfillment Planners, providing guidance, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for the team, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and supply chain performance targets.
  • Act as a key liaison between E-Commerce Fulfillment Planning, Supply Chain, and Sales, ensuring seamless communication and execution.
  • Drive accountability and ownership within the team, ensuring timely execution of replenishment, deployment, and inventory management activities.
  • Identify skill gaps and implement training programs to enhance the capabilities of the fulfillment planning team.

Operational & Strategic Execution:

  • Develop and Execute Replenishment Plans: Oversee the creation and execution of replenishment strategies for Amazon warehouses, ensuring optimal inventory levels and addressing e-commerce-specific stocking needs.
  • Collaborate on Demand Forecasting: Guide the team in developing and maintaining rolling demand forecasts, leveraging data analysis and input from the Amazon Sales Team to refine accuracy.
  • Manage Inventory Deployment: Direct inventory deployment strategies to balance cost efficiency and service levels across Amazon distribution centers.
  • Monitor Inventory Health: Ensure proactive inventory management, including addressing stranded inventory, reducing product destruction, and maintaining strong KPI performance.
  • Support Amazon FBA Operations: Oversee stock transfers for Amazon FBA, ensuring alignment with replenishment needs and resolving discrepancies in shipments.
  • Coordinate Cross-Functional Initiatives: Lead collaboration with Amazon Sales and Supply Chain teams to align on product launches, phase-outs, and demand assumptions.
  • Issue Resolution & Risk Mitigation: Act as the escalation point for inventory constraints and operational disruptions, driving resolution and implementing preventive measures.
  • Drive Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements in forecasting, planning, and execution processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Analyze Data for Strategic Insights: Leverage data to uncover trends, drive business decisions, and refine demand and fulfillment strategies.
  • Ensure Business Continuity: Develop contingency plans to mitigate supply chain risks and ensure uninterrupted fulfillment operations.

What You Will Bring:

  • 2+ years of experience in a managerial role, leading teams in demand planning, fulfillment, supply chain, or deployment.
  • Prior experience as a deployment analyst in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
  • 3+ years of experience in finished goods demand forecasting, planning, and deployment.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills, with a track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze trends, troubleshoot issues, and provide data-driven insights to drive efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Forecasting Tools and Systems: Expertise in forecasting software (e.g., Forecast Pro) and MRP/DRP systems (Syspro preferred).
  • Detail-Oriented with High Attention to Accuracy: Ensures precision in data analysis, reporting, and deployment planning.
  • Process Improvement Mindset: Experience leading initiatives to improve forecasting accuracy, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive alignment and problem resolution.
  • Ability to Prioritize in a Dynamic Environment: Skilled at managing multiple priorities and adapting to changing business needs.
  • Self-Driven and Decisive: Capable of working independently, making informed decisions, and balancing tactical and strategic responsibilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Advanced skills in Excel and other Microsoft applications to support data analysis and reporting.

Compensation Range:

$104,000 - $161,700

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job related skills, experience, location, and relevant education or training.
