QIMA Life Sciences is a key player in contract research for the cosmetics, nutraceutical, dermatology, pharmaceutical, and biotech sectors. With over 10.000 m² of lab space across Europe and South America, we offer comprehensive services in bio-prediction, preclinical efficacy evaluation, and clinical trials.

QIMA Monasterium is based in Münster, Germany, and specializes in pre-clinical and clinical services in dermatology for therapeutics, cosmeceutical, and nutraceutical applications, offering among other clinically relevant ex vivo and in vivo pre-clinical models and state-of-the-art techniques.

In our warm and welcoming company, you will provide technical support to operate and maintain our state-of-the-art multiplex immunofluorescence system (Comet Lunaphore), under the supervision of the Technology Implementation Manager. The platform allows sequential staining and imaging of a single tissue section for multiple markers, giving a far richer picture of pathology than conventional single-marker staining. You will support the establishment of panels applied across a range of skin and hair pathologies and industrial client projects, working closely with the responsible manager.

Your core, routine responsibility will include

  • Running multistaining protocols on the Comet machine

  • Day-to-day management of the consumables and reagents required for the Comet workflow

  • Preparing samples for Comet analysis, including fixation and embedding of tissue, cryosectioning and FFPE sectioning, and slide preparation

  • Full training will be provided on the Comet workflow described above. Beyond this, general training on other major QIMA Monasterium techniques will also be offered, including hair follicle and skin organ culture.

  • Completed training as a Medical / Biological-technical assistant or an honours bachelor degree in a relevant subject

  • Good knowledge in immunohistochemistry and routine histology

  • Good knowledge of Computer Skills and Microsoft Office

  • Experience in biological research laboratories and with laboratory techniques

  • Sound knowledge of English (Company language: English)

  • Candidates with documented know-how and experience in skin and/or hair research will be preferred

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Good coordination, time management, data collection and analysis
