What You Will Do:
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will report to the Infrastructure Lead and will be responsible for supporting the Corporate department. You will work alongside the Infrastructure Lead to support the global infrastructure that powers our business systems, applications, and processes.
This role requires strong technical skills and excellent interpersonal abilities to communicate effectively at all levels of the business. You will be expected to coach junior team members, suggest improvements to the infrastructure, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Infrastructure Lead in driving transformation within the business.
- Acting as a technical lead on infrastructure projects.
- Mentoring, supporting, and upskilling junior team members and the wider infrastructure team.
- Contributing to improving quality and ways of working in the infrastructure team.
- Supporting the transition from traditional infrastructure management to a modern, cloud-based approach.
- Designing secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure architecture solutions.
- Supporting technical discovery for improving IT systems and security posture.
- Keeping up-to-date with cloud technologies (primarily Azure) and their architectural possibilities.
- Ensuring backup and recovery infrastructure is improved, maintained, and tested.
- Managing the group's technology infrastructure and services.
- Proactive monitoring of all technology systems, working closely with the Service Desk.
- Ensuring all procedures are documented and published according to service standards.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Interacting with the Service Desk to resolve IT-related 3rd line incidents.
- Escalating calls to internal and external support providers when necessary.
The role requires the ability to work to tight deadlines, with strong written and verbal communication skills. You must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Experience/Knowledge You Will Need:
Technical Requirements:
- Strong IT background in support and system administration.
- Strong infrastructure capabilities.
- Identity & access management experience (Azure AD, AD DS, Azure AD DS, SSO).
- Experience supporting on-prem and cloud services.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 cloud services.
- Device management experience (Intune/DesktopCentral).
- Experience with Windows Server, IIS, Active Directory.
- Experience with IP networks, firewalls, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, and remote access.
- Experience supporting both Windows and Mac-based systems.
- Understanding of best practices in Cyber Security.
Bonus Points:
- PowerShell and scripting experience.
- Virtualization/Virtual Desktop experience.
- General knowledge of Linux systems.
- ITIL framework experience.
- Azure certifications.
