Senior Finance Manager, Financial Control - Maternity Cover Contract

What You Will Do:

The Senior Finance Manager, Financial Control reports to the Director, Financial Control, and is responsible for managing the day to day activities of our Accounting team which is based in Skopje, Macedonia.

We are looking for a candidate who can hit the ground running and ensure key deliverables do not slip during the current incumbent’s maternity leave.

The role is focused on ensuring that the group’s general ledger transactions are posted accurately and on time, and that our month end deadlines are met. Since the Accounting team are based in Macedonia, the ability to manage a team remotely and build rapport will be crucial to success. The candidate would be expected to travel to Macedonia, and work face to face with the team, during the contract.

The candidate will attend month end close meetings with Finance Business Partners, providing insight on the reported numbers to assist with their reviews. In addition, they will need to partner with various other teams within the business, including Accounts Payable & Receivable, Finance, Treasury, Tax and Payroll.

The role will also offer the opportunity to participate in wider group projects, such as acquisition accounting and new system rollouts, and help drive change and improvements within the business. We want a candidate who can add value and bring their previous experience to the table.

Key responsibilities for the role are as follows:

  • Managing the Accounting team
  • Ensuring all general ledger transactions are posted correctly
  • Running the month end process to meet our internal deadline
  • Initial oversight and review of month end results
  • Partnering with other departments to ensure they provide month end information

Experience/Knowledge You Will Need:

The candidate should ideally have the following knowledge and experience:

Essential:

  • Fully ACA/ ACCA qualified
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience using a complex ERP system
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in multi-currency consolidation
  • Experience with IFRS
  • Strong Excel skills

Desirable:

  • Experience using NetSuite
  • Experience working in a PE environment
