What You Will Do:

The Revenue Reporting Analyst will report ­­­­­­­­­to the Director, Financial Control, responsible for group accounting, statutory reporting and revenue recognition within the Financial Control department.

The group is currently focused on improving and streamlining our financial reporting, with an increased focus on revenue as a key metric from financial year 2025 onwards. You would be a key part of this exciting change, focused on ensuring accurate and timely revenue reporting for all group companies, and driving improvements in the quality of reporting.

You would work in our General Ledger team, with the booking of revenue an integral part of the month end close process. To succeed it will be critical to engage with the other teams involved in the revenue process. You will need to work closely with, and develop detailed understanding of the activities of Sales Operations, Billings, Professional Services and IT Support.

The role requires an individual who has a good eye for detail, a proactive approach, and is comfortable building relationships across multiple teams to drive improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

· Run the month end revenue recognition journal process in the accounting system (Netsuite)

· Maintain accurate reconciliations of deferred and accrued revenue balances, ensuring any errors or unusual items are followed up and resolved.

· Contribute to the development of improved revenue reporting within our new management reporting system, due for roll out in FY2025.

· Work closely with both Netsuite and Openair IT support teams to identify and resolve any errors or issues.

· Engage regularly with Sales Operations regarding the revenue recognition process for new deals and products.

· Work closely with the Billing team to identify in advance any unusual billing arrangements which may have implications for revenue recognition.

· Liaise with professional services teams regarding their management of the timesheet system (Openair), ensuring that services revenues are recognized accurately.

· Respond to requests from the group auditors relating to revenue.

Experience/Knowledge/Competencies You Will Need:

• Understanding of billing and revenue processes.

• Ability to communicate and partner with other departments, at different levels across the global team.

• Strong excel skills, ability to work with large datasets.

• Highly motivated, with strong organizational skills and the ability to work to deadlines.

• Experience as part of a change management/improvement process.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English, and ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders

• Experience using Netsuite, Salesforce, and Openair systems is desirable.
