About the role
The Infrastructure Engineer will report to the Infrastructure Team Lead/Head of Infrastructure, responsible for supporting the Corporate department.The Infrastructure Engineer will work alongside the Infrastructure Lead to support the global infrastructure which supports the business systems, applications and processes. The Infrastructure Engineer will work with the IT team to develop an effective and workable framework for delivering an integrated IT infrastructure and services.
Prerequisites for this role are strong technical skills, excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business.
This will include liaising with internal and external stakeholders and how they work together.
A crucial part of the role is:
• Managing the group’s Technology infrastructure and services
• Proactively monitoring all technology systems, working closely with the Service Desk
Additionally, this person will be responsible for:
• Ensuring all procedures are suitably documented and published in accordance with service standards
• Interacting with the Service Desk to help resolve IT-related 3rd line incidents and provide answers in a timely manner
• Escalating calls to internal and external support providers where necessary
The role requires an individual that has the ability to work to tight deadlines, and has strong written and verbal skills. The role holder will be able to work well, both independently and in a team environment.

Technical Requirements:
• Virtualization Technologies; Microsoft Hyper-V Clusters
• Networking (LAN, WAN, VPN), Network Firewalls administration
• Windows Server 2016,2019,2022
• Microsoft 365 administration (Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune, SharePoint, SSO, SAML)
• PowerShell scripting
• Active Directory, DNS, NPS management
• SAN Storage array experience
• Backup systems and solutions
• Experience and knowledge with infrastructure monitoring solutions
• Microsoft Azure
• Knowledge or understanding of SASE solutions
• Knowledge or understanding of VoIP technologies.
