Role Summary
The Client Service Intern will support the Senior Client Relationship Manager in the monitoring and management of existing French clients. Strengthening the quality of the relationship and supporting cross selling opportunities to existing clients, is a key part of this role. The Client Service Intern, in collaboration with Shared Services, will deliver excellent client service, most notably in reporting and operational delivery. It will provide a reporting service across France’s client base and leverage Russell's knowledge capital and develop efficient business solutions.
This role is an integral part of the EMEA Client team, providing analytical and technical support for client pitches and client communications. It involves interaction with clients and other departments in the Company and with external service providers as necessary.
This role will operate from Russell Investments France and is mainly office based. Some travel maybe required. This role will have a dual reporting line, one into the Country Manager, Managing Director, Co-Head of EMEA Private Market and one into the Senior Client Relationship Manager. As a result, the Client Service Associate should ensure both the Senior Client Relationship Manager and the Country Manager are kept informed of any relevant information, activities and KPIs.
This is a 6 month internship (Stage)
The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:
Regulatory & Business conduct

Effectively and collaboratively identifying, escalating, mitigating and resolving risk, conduct and compliance.
Reporting to the President of RIF on investment advice, marketing and distribution activities in the Paris office.
Client Service
Ownership of reporting and Client Servicing activities.
Regular client reporting which includes communication of Monthly and Quarterly reports and all communications linked to Russell Investments’ activity (managers changes, ad-hoc communications, research, etc.).
Producing and communicating customised reports.
Monitoring, updating and/or producing all regulatory documents for the Russell Investments France fund range – regulated by the AMF - in collaboration with other departments in the Company and with external service providers as necessary.
Assimilating data and uploading this (qualitative and quantitative) information onto our databases, tables or presentations.
Client Relationship Management
Working with the Client Executive with regards to client relationships.
Setting up manager/performance review calls or meetings and making sure that the client is satisfied with Russell’s offering or services.
Producing client collateral.
External Providers Relationship Management
Monitoring French third-party relationships in coordination with the teams involved.
Being regarded by the external providers as a point of contact for Russell Investments.
Setting up business reviews and making sure that Russell Investment is satisfied with their offering or services.
Cross Sales Support
Working with the Senior Relationship Manager and from time to time with the Sales Team, to develop and maintain regular contacts with the clients.
Promoting RI’s investment services and supporting the potential cross selling of additional products and services (performance simulations, peer comparisons, charts, etc).
Providing strong support and/or completing RFIs/RFPs.
Liaising regularly with the London RFP Team and Sales Support Team for up-to-date information on Russell Investments processes and RFI/RFP responses.
Operations
Providing operational and technical support to clients in their account opening and fund trading processes (and other related issues).
Day to day communication with our OPS Department in London and our Fund Administrator in Ireland (State Street Dublin).
Ensuring all investments are monitored and in line with our compliance obligations.
Compiling data various sources to ensure our business metrics are up to date in terms of Cash Flows, AUM and revenues.
Office Development
Contributing to the development of new or improved Russell Investments capabilities in response to client and/or team demands.
Continued Professional Development
Maintaining an understanding of current themes and developments in the investment industry.
Risk
Carrying out data analytics for AIFMD
Coordinating the collection of risk information from other departments and reporting.
Analysing data update from diverse AIFMD files.
The successful candidate will have extensive demonstrable skills and experiences including the following:
Bachelors degree or equivalent qualification / equivalent experience is required.
Fluent in both French and English.
Ability to communicate effectively and knowledgeably with both colleagues and prospective clients.
Highly professional communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.
Knowledge of the investment consulting and investment management industry preferable but not mandatory.
Good knowledge and understanding of all major asset classes
Knowledge of the global capital markets and how various stakeholders interact within them.
