Job Description:

Joining our Strategic Asset Allocation team means you will be a part of a passionate and supportive team that believes what we do matters to our clients and investors. The Strategic Asset Allocation team is looking for an insightful individual to help develop and communicate strategic asset allocation advice across Russell Investments’ global platform.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000

Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. At Russell Investments, salary is just one part of our compensation package. We are looking for someone to work collaboratively across our organization on the following:

Your Essential Responsibilities:

  • Build strategic asset allocations for different types of multi-asset portfolios (growth, income, drawdown protected, etc.).
  • Collaborate on the management of retail model strategies.
  • Conduct research on asset allocation topics.
  • Design new multi-asset products and solutions.
  • Develop tools that allow investment advisors to see the impact of asset allocation under different market environments and tax treatments.
  • Identify necessary forecasting insights to improve asset allocation advice.
  • Advance and refine our asset allocation process and tools

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 2-5 years’ experience in a capital markets finance role or a Master’s degree in finance, economics or quantitative area such as math, statistics, engineering, or operations research
  • Familiarity with portfolio construction and asset allocation analysis.
  • Working knowledge of capital markets.

Your Expertise:

Must-have qualifications include:

  • Experience running quantitative analyses in a programming language (Matlab, Python, R, C# etc.).
  • Ability to organize findings and clearly present results.
  • Think clearly about complex problems and find pragmatic solutions.
  • Ability to progress multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.

Desired qualifications include:

  • CFA or progress towards, Master’s degree in finance, economics or quantitative area such as math, statistics, engineering, or operations research
  • Familiarity with portfolio construction, factor modeling, risk and return attribution, asset return forecasting, statistical analysis, portfolio optimization, basic actuarial math, Monte Carlo simulation, and lifecycle finance
  • An effective communicator with experience writing white papers, and speaking engagements.
