Job Description:
As a Corporate Actions Analyst, you will provide support and services for both internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes and at all times represent Global Operations to the highest standard.
The Corporate Actions team supports the holistic management of Corporate Actions across Russell Investments including fund and client portfolios.
This position will primarily focus on supporting the operations team in their corporate action’s responsibilities. This includes coordination with our internal portfolio management team as well as internal departments at Russell Investments. Additional responsibilities include the driving change through workflow and tech upgrades as well as manipulate data and presenting analytics to better enable our corporate action process.
Years of Experience
At least 3-5 years previous experience in the financial services industry, preferably in an operations capacity within an asset management firm
Qualifications
Ability to function successfully in ambiguous conditions
Organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and precise with numbers, with a solid understanding of the securities/fund industry as well as investment concepts and strategies
Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to adapt quickly and readily to change and embrace new opportunities
Intellectual curiosity to perform a “deep-dive” into new subject material
Responsibilities
Responsible for managing day to day corporate action operations between internal/external stakeholders.
Ensure Day-to-day corporate action operational responsibilities are managed, coordinated, and delivered to the core business clients.
Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve operational risk
Maintains detailed documentation and inventory of all processes
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company data without exception
Evaluating and improving existing operational processes and maintaining up-to-date procedures to reduce risk, increase efficiency, and support regulatory requirements and business initiatives.
Working with internal portfolio managers, analysts, and traders to ensure corporate action processing is correct.

Candidate Requirements
Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency with Excel
Prior experience with Bloomberg AIM or Charles River
Prior experience with trading and portfolio management team.
