Job Description:

Russell Investments (RI) is seeking a Senior Operational Risk Analyst to join our Global Risk Management team. The candidate will oversee the corporate insurance program and facilitate operational risk management functions such as event analysis, root cause investigation, remediation monitoring, risk assessments and control documentation. The candidate will analyze current and potential loss exposures and make recommendations regarding renewals, new coverages, and alternate ways of managing and/or transferring risk.

Salary Range: $76,000 - $96,000

Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. At Russell Investments, salary is just one part of our compensation package. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Russell Investments corporate insurance program.
  • Monitor changes to RI's business and risk profile and recommend changes to RI's global insurance program as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with various departments to identify, assess, and mitigate the business unit risks and perform risk assessments as necessary.
  • Produce timely and accurate operational risk related reports for various audiences on both a routine and ad hoc basis.
  • Work with insurance brokers and underwriters to secure the best terms and conditions for the company’s insurance policies.
  • Coordinate with legal, operations and finance teams to oversee insurance claims and recoveries throughout the year.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on insurance clauses in vendor and client contracts as well as support insurance coverage requests for clients as needed.
  • Develop and implement risk management and insurance program policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and guidance on insurance matters.
  • Perform risk management committee activities as required.
  • Provide project support as needed.

Demonstrable skills and experiences required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Financial Services.
  • Professional certification preferred (e.g., CRM, RMP, CPA or equivalent)
  • Experience administering a corporate insurance program preferred.
  • Experience with GRC tools such as MetricStream preferred.
  • Proven effective communication skills, negotiation techniques, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Reliable organizational skills with demonstrated ability to bring assignments to successful completion with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • History of demonstrating initiative, effective prioritization, and sound judgement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
