Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Business Process Automation Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for automating various business processes within our organization using cutting-edge technologies such as OpenAI's Artificial Intelligence APIs, Microsoft Power BI, and other enterprise workflow automation tools. Your expertise in leveraging these technologies, including the Davinci and other OpenAI APIs, as well as Microsoft Copilot, will drive operational efficiency, enhance productivity, and streamline our business operations. The ideal candidate excels in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, agile software development environment. They will work both independently and collaboratively with the enterprise software engineering and data architecture teams. They will learn and incorporate Russell IT standards, tooling, and practices and will be driven to continuously improve Russell’s software quality.

8 + years of Software Development experience required

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Financial Services / Asset Management experience preferred
  • Tech lead experience / Management skills preferred (required for Team Lead position)
  • Proven experience in business process automation, including designing and implementing automated workflows.
  • Solid understanding of programming languages, particularly Python, and experience integrating APIs into codebases.
  • Familiarity with natural language processing (NLP) concepts and techniques, including text preprocessing, sentiment analysis, named entity recognition, and text generation.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot or similar AI-powered code completion tools to enhance coding productivity.
  • Knowledge of data manipulation and analysis using Python libraries like NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify automation opportunities and optimize processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and analyze existing business processes that can be automated to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using OpenAI's Artificial Intelligence APIs, including the Davinci API, Microsoft Power BI, and other enterprise workflow automation tools.
  • Integrate disparate systems and data sources to create seamless automated workflows.
  • Leverage the capabilities of the Davinci API and other OpenAI APIs to solve complex business problems, including natural language processing, text generation, sentiment analysis, and more.
  • Utilize Microsoft Copilot to accelerate coding tasks, provide code suggestions, and streamline development processes.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including process flow diagrams, technical specifications, and user guides.
  • Test and troubleshoot automation solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of automated processes, making necessary adjustments and improvements as needed.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on automated processes and tools.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to business process automation and artificial intelligence.
  • Collaborate with vendors and external partners to implement and optimize automation solutions.
  • Conceptualize and be able to articulate solutions to team members and internal clients
  • Mentor others on the team, help guide and advise as necessary (for Team Lead only)
  • Aid with the interviewing and selection of teammates (for Team Lead only)

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Business Process Automation Developer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in Workfront Fusion and Power Automate.
  • Experience integrating automation solutions with APIs, RESTful services, and web services.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Jira and Outlook integration capabilities.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell.
