Job Description:
As a Research and Development team member, this role will involve productionalizing and maintenance of the investment and risk models, signals, and analytical platforms across several asset classes that cater to multiple Russell Investments teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong investment knowledge base, coupled with an adept understanding of coding and quantitative analysis.
Years of Experience
Suitable candidates would have 1-3 years of programming (quant modelling)/investment experience.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of investment principles and asset classes.
• Proficient in Python and SQL (R or C# a plus)
• Experience with DevOps toolkit (GitLab, Octopus Deploy) is a plus
• Strong quantitative skill set with the ability to analyze large and complex datasets.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and high attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Time zone flexibility to work with colleagues based in Russell’s different locations globally
Responsibilities
· Existing R&D models and platforms maintenance: ensure the seamless delivery of models, signals and exclusion lists, troubleshooting any issues that arise, and making necessary modifications.
· Development and maintenance of databases: design and implement new databases tailored to store and manage R&D data effectively, collaborate with IT teams to optimize database performance.
· Productionalizing of new models and data delivery: work with R&D team on the integration of newly developed models into production environments, conduct testing to ensure new models and data delivery operate as expected.
· Development of analytics dashboards: create intuitive dashboards to provide users with data visualizations, understand user needs and requirements and customize dashboards accordingly.
· Adhoc data analysis: respond to spontaneous requests from stakeholders for specific data insights or reports, present results in a clear and concise manner.
· Documentation: create user guides and documentation manuals for processes and platforms.
