Job Description:
Role Summary
As part of the Program Management Office, the Senior Program Manager works directly with Product Managers, Project Owners and Project Managers to drive and coordinate key projects for the business. These projects will vary and may include the implementation of new processes or improvement of existing processes. Strong project coordination skills are required. Duties will include all aspects of planning and execution including periodic communication, project timeline, resource and budget management, requirements definition and logistics definition. This role will work with multiple stakeholders across the enterprise to successfully deliver solutions.
Years of Experience
At least 8 years of experience in a project management role
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- A strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
- Direct work experience in a program and project management capacity.
- Track record of delivering successful programs and projects in complex environments.
- Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
- Proven experience in program management, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and influence high-performing teams.
- Proficient in project management software.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale programs.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure program milestones and objectives are met.
- Develop and maintain program documentation, including project plans, budgets, and status reports.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
- Identify risks and issues and implement mitigation strategies to ensure program success.
- Foster a collaborative environment and encourage knowledge sharing among team members.
- Leading moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to projects, peers, and cross-functional team
- Define, measure and communicate various key metrics related to processes, programs and products.
- Support business transformation efforts to increase organizational capacity through simplification, standardization and automation.
- Work with the project owner to define project goals, identify requirements, assign resources, create timelines and periodic communication of project status.
- Influences timelines and expectations, and proactively negotiates across departments and functional management

- Ability to effectively prioritize and adapt in a very fluid environment, while managing multiple projects.

- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
- Technically competent with various software programs, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.

- Ability to elicit cooperation from various sources, including many departments within the business and IT.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of technical system requirements and operational processes and procedures in an asset management organization.
