Job Description:
The Data Analytics Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge. In this role, you will use a variety of databases and data tools, follow the latest industry practices, and work on complex data analytics projects. You will ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating optimal processes and procedures for analytics employees to follow. Your work will empower our business decisions and strategies with actionable data insights.
Years of Experience
- 3+ years work in Data Engineering and Data Science work
- 5+ years work experience in business analytics and reporting
- 5+ years work experience with and strong knowledge of Excel, SQL and relational databases is required
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Computer Science, Data Science, Analytics, or a related Information Technology/Engineering discipline
Responsibilities
- Data Infrastructure:
- Design and construct robust, scalable data engineering solutions for collecting, integrating, analyzing, and presenting large datasets.
- Implement and maintain database solutions to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
- Data Analysis and Modeling:
- Develop analytical tools and programs to improve data analysis efficiency and quality.
- Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms, as appropriate, to support data analysis needs.
- Data Quality and Governance:
- Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
- Collaborate with data governance teams to ensure the protection of sensitive data and alignment with compliance regulations.
- Collaboration and Reporting:
- Work with business stakeholders to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
- Create data tools for analytics and data scientist team members that assist them in building and optimizing our product into an innovative industry leader.
Candidate Requirements
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or similar for data processing and scripting.
- Strong experience with data warehouse technologies (e.g., Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, Snowflake) and ETL tools (e.g., Apache Nifi, Talend).
- Database management skills, including SQL proficiency.
- Knowledge of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Understanding of data governance and compliance best practices.
- Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
- Experience with Data Platforms (e.g., Snowflake)
- Experience with MDM Systems
