Job Description:

Every day, we seek to improve financial security for people. Joining our Investment Reporting Analyst team you will be a part of a passionate and supportive team tasked with delivering investment product reports both internal and external to Russell Investments.

As an Investment Reporting Analyst, the primary responsibility is to create comprehensive analysis and reporting communications for Russell Investment’s various client portfolios on a global scale. This position, under the supervision of the Manager of Investment Communications, entails crucial tasks related to reporting and communication. You will be an integral part of a compact team of investment analysts training on all aspects of investment management, portfolio implementation, portfolio analysis, the investment process, and reporting functions.

This role offers a unique development opportunity to train within our investment division team, with on-the-job coaching, and cross training assignments to position the team to support our newly forming Performance & Reporting department.

Years of Experience

  • 3-5 years of related investment experience, or experience in the investment/financial services industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, communications or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience of related investment experience, or experience in the investment management industry.
  • Proficient user of entire Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

  • Training and learning with the Portfolio Implementation team on all aspects of portfolio management including investment decisions, implementation, portfolio rebalances, transition events and daily monitoring of investment portfolios.
  • Edit collateral received from other teams to ensure it is free of errors and has a consistent message and tone.
  • Create reports, marketing materials and communications for other asset classes as needed and act as the primary contact for commentary on those asset classes.
  • Compose scheduled collateral including monthly and quarterly fund reports, market commentaries, interim audit reports, fund and client profile reports, client presentation slides and fund change communications.
  • Take responsibility for recurring investment content relating to the assigned asset class, featured in both Russell’s regular or ad hoc investment communications addressing market dynamics and noteworthy events upon request.
  • Collaborate in supporting new business initiatives as necessary.
  • Support relationships with key external stakeholders in the Investment Division, marketing professionals, client services and sales teams.

Candidate Requirements

  • Solid comprehension of investment concepts and asset classes.
  • Strong willingness to develop knowledge and understanding of various Russell products and business lines, including comprehension of investment concepts and asset classes.
  • A passion for and interest in global financial markets, portfolio management techniques, and investments.
  • Basic knowledge of industry trends and competitors.
  • Excellent proof-reading skills.
  • Strong numerical ability and able to work accurately with financial figures such as AUM, risk analytics and performance.
  • Promotes and facilitates the work of the Investment Reporting Analyst team and contributes as a productive member of the team, sharing responsibility and ideas.
