Salary Range:

$68,000 USD - $70,000 USD

Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. Role Summary

The Tax Accountant will join a team of tax professionals responsible for managing all corporate tax matters for Russell Investments and its subsidiaries. This position is responsible for supporting U.S. federal and state income, gross receipts, and sales and use taxes for all domestic entities. This position will report to the Director, U.S. Tax and will be based in Seattle, WA.

Your Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Federal Form 1120 and state income tax returns, including preparation of related adjustment workpapers.
  • Assist with federal and state income tax provisions, including preparation of related adjustment workpapers.
  • Assist with gross receipts, property tax, and sales and use tax calculations and returns.
  • Assist with account reconciliations and journal entry preparation.
  • Provide support for tax audits as needed.

Your Expertise:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • CPA or progress towards CPA license preferred.
  • Minimum 1-2 years federal and state income tax experience in a public accounting or corporate environment.
  • Experience with tax preparation software preferred.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel required.
  • Understanding of the Internal Revenue Code and Federal Tax Regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to adhere to established time frames and schedule to successfully meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and in coordination and collaboration with cross functional teams.
  • Ability to work in a close team environment.
