Role Summary:
As a Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager within the Customized Portfolio Solutions team of our Investment Division, you will contribute to the development and implementation of investment strategies that align with fund objectives and portfolio guidelines. This role is based in Seattle, with a flexible hybrid work model, requiring in-office collaboration at least 3 days per week.
The role will focus on a broad range of US and Global fixed income strategies, covering Corporate, Government, and Inflation-Linked assets, in both passive factor and model-driven structures. You will play a key role in leading investment strategy efforts and trade execution, contributing to the overall success of the team.
You will collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, street-side coverage, and IT staff, while also acting as a subject matter expert for internal and external clients. Your Core Responsibilities:
Lead efforts in managing and trading a variety of fixed-income portfolios, ensuring solid benchmark-relative performance within regulatory and client-specific guidelines
Collaborate with clients and prospective clients across North America to develop tailored investment solutions and support business growth initiatives
Contribute to idea generation, strategy formulation, and trade execution within the team, working closely with Research teams and internal business partners
Communicate investment strategies and portfolio methodologies through a variety of mediums, working with client relationship managers, sales teams, clients, and client advisers
Implement improvements in portfolio management processes, including trading practices, portfolio analysis, scenario analysis, and performance reporting
Provide insights on credit decisions and identify opportunities with new security types
Prepare reports, presentation materials, and qualitative performance narratives for internal and external stakeholders
Take on special projects as identified to support business objectives
Your Expertise/Requirements:
6+ years of experience in portfolio management or equivalent asset management roles, or cumulative relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in investment or financial markets
In-depth knowledge of short-term capital markets, fixed-income markets, money market funds/securities, economic analysis, and the US regulatory environment
Proficiency in Bloomberg and Excel.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate issues holistically and offer strategic solutions
Proven ability to build trusted relationships, collaborate within a team, and interact thoughtfully with clients and colleagues
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
CFA charter holder or progress toward CFA designation.
Experience in cash or enhanced cash portfolio management.
Familiarity with the municipal bond market.
Experience with AXIOMA, or other analytic and programming tools, preferred but not required.
ETF management experience is a plus.
