Salary Range:

$85,000 USD - $110,000 USD

Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. The Senior Tax Analyst will join a team of tax professionals responsible for managing all corporate tax matters for Russell Investments and its subsidiaries. This position is responsible for supporting U.S. federal and state income, gross receipts, and sales and use taxes for all domestic entities. This position will report to the Director, U.S. Tax and will be based in Seattle, WA.

Your Core Responsibilities:

  • Consolidated Federal Form 1120, and combined and separate state income tax returns. Prepare tax returns and related adjustment workpapers in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Prepare federal and state quarterly estimated tax calculations and payments.

  • Prepare and/or review gross receipts and sales and use tax calculations and returns.

  • Assist with federal and state income tax provisions.

  • Provide support for federal and state income tax audits.

  • Consider and recommend enhancements to the various functions within the federal and state tax return process to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Research tax issues relating to federal and state income tax.

  • Assist as needed with account reconciliations and journal entry preparation.

Your Expertise:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting

  • CPA license preferred

  • Minimum 4 years federal and state income tax experience in a public accounting or corporate environment.

  • Experience with consolidated federal returns and combined state returns required.

  • Experience with tax preparation software required.

  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel required.

  • Understanding of the Internal Revenue Code and Federal Tax Regulations.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize, organize and work independently with minimal guidance or instruction.

  • Ability to work in a close team environment.
