Job Description:

Transfer Agent Services (“TA”) operates in an outsourced business model where exceptional client service depends on strong partnerships with external service providers. Most TA functions are fully or primarily outsourced, with Russell Investments providing oversight and process management as a core responsibility.

As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence by managing processes, reviewing service provider performance, and resolving exceptions that require Russell Investments’ guidance. You will also deliver value-added services that cannot be outsourced and contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Monitor and review daily processes, including exception items referred to by transfer agent service providers. Ensure timely, accurate completion with full documentation of actions and instructions.
  • Team Support: Act as a first-level resource for less experienced associates, providing training and problem resolution.
  • Service Provider Management: Collaborate daily with SS&C GIDS, Inc. (“SS&C”) to ensure transaction accuracy, timely processing, and adherence to agreed procedures. Drive quality service for distribution partners.
  • Process Execution: Complete assigned operational services according to established procedures. Document all work thoroughly and provide feedback on improvement opportunities and root causes of incidents.
  • Procedure Development: Maintain and update existing procedures; draft new ones as needed. Offer technical and process insights to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Project Participation: Lead and/or contribute to cross-functional projects as an operations representative, ensuring timely delivery while minimizing impact on core responsibilities.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 2–3 years of experience in an operational role within financial services (preferred).
  • 1–2 years of project execution experience as part of a multi-disciplinary team (preferred).
  • FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses (preferred).
  • Proven ability to execute processes within a structured process management framework.
  • Strong organizational skills with a track record of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, small-team environment.
  • Analytical mindset for process management and continuous improvement.
  • Experience documenting and testing procedures in an operational financial services setting.

This role offers the opportunity to influence operational processes, work on cross-functional projects, and contribute to the success of a global investment firm. You’ll be part of a collaborative team focused on delivering exceptional service and driving continuous improvement.

This role is not eligible for employment-based immigration sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
