Job Description:
The Sales Operations Senior Business Analyst is a hands-on player-coach role responsible for driving the strategic direction, optimization, and day-to-day excellence of our global CRM platform and related sales technology tools. This role blends product ownership, business analysis, and technical CRM expertise to ensure our systems are reliable, scalable, and aligned with organizational goals. This role reports to the Manager of Sales Operations and partners closely with the Sales Operations team. While not responsible for direct management of team members, the Sr BA will collaborate with the team to drive CRM initiatives and ensure smooth execution.
This role partners closely with Sales Operations, GTM teams, Finance, Marketing, Product, and IT to define business requirements, implement enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high adoption and usability across the organization. As well as mentor and guide team members, they roll up their sleeves to analyze data, solve problems, and deliver meaningful change.
The ideal candidate brings strong Salesforce expertise, cross-functional leadership skills, and the ability to influence change while maintaining a steady, disciplined operational approach.
The responsibilities of the individual in this position include:
Leadership & Player-Coach Responsibilities
Serve as the hands-on leader responsible for both strategic CRM direction and tactical execution.
Mentor and coach CRM team members, guiding them on best practices, technical troubleshooting, and requirements gathering.
Lead cross-functional conversations and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Drive change management efforts, ensuring clarity, consistency, and accountability across teams.
Set priorities, manage workload, and balance strategic initiatives with urgent operational needs.
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
Gather, document, and analyze business and technical requirements across GTM, Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Product teams.
Develop functional requirement documents and help prioritize enhancement requests based on business impact.
Engage stakeholders regularly to understand objectives, risks, and challenges and translate them into effective solutions.
Lead and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure quality rollout of new features and functionality.
Promote adoption and effective usage of tools through training, feedback sessions, and documentation.
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
Identify technology and process gaps and propose solutions to streamline workflows and improve system usability.
Stay current with industry trends and Salesforce enhancements to keep the CRM environment modern and effective.
Work collaboratively with other analysts and project contributors to ensure cohesive solution design.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
3–5+ years of experience across CRM product ownership, business analysis, or CRM technical roles, with a focus on Salesforce.
Strong understanding of CRM principles, implementation, customization, and administration.
Hands-on experience with key tools: Salesforce, SQL, Jira, Confluence, Excel (advanced), and related systems.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive successful technology initiatives.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex business needs into technical solutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders at all levels.
Experience in agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).
Preferred:
Experience in asset management or financial services.
Salesforce certifications.
Exposure to integrations, plugins, and workflow automation.
