The Work You'll Do:

An Implementation Consultant at Sovos is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing client project plans from kickoff to handoff to the Client Support or Compliance Services teams. You'll be part of the Implementation Services team, delivering onboarding, training, and other project-based services for clients using Sovos products and services. Your role will ensure projects are completed on time, with top-notch quality and client satisfaction, while also handling key configuration tasks.

More specifically, you will:

  • Act as the primary point of contact during the implementation process for the client
  • Complete configuration tasks and thorough Client Procedures documents that include all configuration details and any other necessary information
  • Continue service activities for clients after successful implementation as needed, especially during peak processing times
  • Develop and manage the project plan, project risks, and actively resolve project-related issues as they arise
  • Identify and suggest improvements to processes, documents, tools, reports, and more to benefit the new customer implementation process
  • Learn implementation processes and procedures
  • Lead fast-paced work sessions with clients to devise technology-based solutions to solve business problems
  • Perform a seamless, documented, and thorough transition after implementation is complete
  • Prepare project plans for basic assigned tasks and balance commitments across multiple projects
  • Provide training as necessary to clients

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor’s Degree, highly preferred
  • 1-2 years of service-related work experience, preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Sovos product offerings in the relevant Product Market
  • Basic knowledge of tax rules and processes in the relevant Product Market
  • Strong time management, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with teammates, colleagues, and customers
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate complex concepts
  • Ability to concentrate, analyze, and resolve complex problems
  • Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
