The Work You'll Do:

The Vendor Operations Manager is responsible for leading a team of Vendor Operations Representatives and Associates to deliver services by leveraging Sovos’ products, tools, and vendor relationships. The Vendor Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that all service level agreements and deadlines are met by the team while delivering an outstanding customer service experience to clients and internal partners. This role provides day-to-day support to team members, manages team tasks, performs performance management and leads process improvement initiatives to maximize internal efficiency and improve client experience..

What are my responsibilities going to be, more specifically?

  • Directly lead a team of Vendor Operations Associates and Representatives.
  • Support the department leader with data analysis projects and metric tracking.
  • Develop and manage vendor relationships, ensuring strong partnerships.
  • Hold the team accountable for high service levels while fostering a culture of collaboration and professionalism.
  • Interview, hire, train, coach, appraise performance, reward, and discipline employees.
  • Implement and lead process improvement initiatives across the team.
  • Assist team members in resolving client or vendor issues.
  • Manage client and vendor escalations.
  • Lead the team to successfully complete department goals.
  • Follow through on supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.

What Do We Ask of You:

  • At least eight years working in a similar role
  • 3+ years of client service-related work experience and 2+ years of leadership experience.
  • Excellent time management, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lead and empower teams to achieve individual and operational goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team and cross-functionally.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with organizational, process, analytical, and customer service skills.
  • Moderate travel required to Sovos locations and events, and vendor sites.
