The Work You'll Do:
The Implementation Consultant I will be responsible for developing, implementing and managing client project plans from project kickoff until the transition to either the Client Support or the Compliance Services teams. The Implementation Services team delivers onboarding, training, and other project-based services for clients utilizing Sovos’ products and/or service offerings. The Implementation Consultant I is responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time with a high level of quality and client satisfaction, in addition to executing key configuration tasks.
More specifically you will:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the implementation process.
- Complete configuration tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Develop comprehensive Client Procedures documents detailing all configuration specifics and other essential information.
- Continue providing service activities for clients post-implementation as needed, particularly during peak processing periods.
- Develop and manage project plans, identify project risks, and proactively resolve project-related issues.
- Suggest improvements to processes, documentation, tools, reports, etc., to enhance the new customer implementation process.
- Learn and adhere to implementation processes and procedures.
- Lead dynamic work sessions with clients to develop technology-based solutions for business challenges.
- Ensure a smooth, well-documented transition post-implementation.
- Prepare project plans for assigned tasks, balancing commitments across multiple projects.
- Provide training to clients as necessary.
- Understand client business logic, translate requirements into technical specifications, develop customizations, manage the configuration process, and oversee testing through to sign-off.
What We Need From You
- 1-2 years of experience in a service-related role is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Sovos product offerings in the relevant market.
- Basic understanding of tax rules and processes in the relevant market.
- Strong time management, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with team members, colleagues, and customers.
- Capable of comprehending and communicating complex concepts.
- Ability to concentrate, analyze, and resolve complex problems.
- Proficiency with technology, including phone systems and computer hardware/software applications.
- Minimal travel required to Sovos locations or events.
