The Work You'll Do:

As a Strategic Account Executive at Sovos you will have the opportunity to work with an international team to sell solutions to a critical problem that customers NEED (this isn’t nice to have)! Our customers need what you sell in order to keep their business compliant around the world. Come join the sales organization for THE market leader in cloud tax software.

More specifically, you will:

  • Generate new business opportunities while effectively managing internal support resources and working full sales cycle opportunities from initial contact, to close and up-sell/cross-sell.

  • Develop and execute an account-based commercial strategy to increase sales opportunities and retain customers in the financial services/insurance industry

  • Create and nurture executive and C-Suite relationships with clients

  • Understanding buyer personas across Legal, Infosec, and banking departments such as Trust, retail, retirement IN THE FINANCIAL/INSURANCE MARKETS

  • Be able to navigate conflicting priorities in large scale organizations in banking and insurance

  • Deliver profitable new business revenue growth in assigned territory while meeting and exceeding revenue targets and relevant quotas

  • Grow and manage a balanced pipeline across assigned territory achieving new business revenue growth

  • Effectively build a year-over-year record of consistent performance and accountability using multiple sales approaches and managing complex sales into large financial enterprises

  • Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of the tax compliance, statutory, and unclaimed property industries and the emerging competitive landscape.

  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to inform management’s strategic decision-making

  • Conduct quarterly customer business reviews to investigate current health and advance strategic opportunities with executive decision makers

  • Identify new product(s) or product enhancement ideas through customer\prospect engagements

  • Successfully execute virtual and in-person sales presentations to multi-department\multi-role\multi-level banking and insurance prospects\customers that delivers value and understanding of statutory and compliance needs

What We Need From You

  • 10+ years proven success selling SaaS-based or software solutions to large multi-national organizations and able to manage complex sales cycles, specifically in banking and or insurance

  • Proven targeting, prospecting, and closing skills while achieving or exceeding revenue quotas

  • Ability to relate and present to the C-Suite level

  • Employs a highly analytical approach to defining client outcomes and articulating value

  • Ability to use facts and data to tell a story that leads to sales

  • Demonstrated ability to move clients from on prem to SAAS solutions in complex back-office environments

  • Understanding and demonstrated ability to work within Backoffice complex solutions in the financial/insurance industry

  • Proven ability to create energy and focus in highly matrixed team

  • Ability to travel for client and prospect meetings, trade shows, sales team events
