The Work You'll Do:

We are seeking an experienced SEO Specialist to join our growing team at Sovos. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing our website’s content and structure to improve visibility on search engine results pages (SERPs). By conducting thorough keyword research, implementing both on-page and off-page optimization techniques, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, the SEO Specialist will drive organic traffic and help improve our website’s search rankings.

The SEO Specialist will play a crucial role in increasing our website’s organic reach through strategic search engine optimization tactics, with a clear focus on performance and growth.

More specifically, you will:

  • Keyword Research:
    • Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify high-value search terms, target audience queries, and competitor insights to incorporate into website content and meta descriptions.
  • On-Page Optimization:
    • Optimize website elements like title tags, meta descriptions, headers, and content structure to improve search engine crawling, indexing, and user engagement.
  • Content Strategy:
    • Develop and implement a content strategy aligned with SEO goals, ensuring content is high-quality, keyword-optimized, and designed for a great user experience.
  • Technical SEO:
    • Analyze website technical aspects such as site speed, mobile responsiveness, structured data, and overall user experience to identify and resolve issues that impact search engine ranking and crawling.
  • Link Building:
    • Build high-quality backlinks from authoritative and reputable websites to improve website authority, credibility, and search rankings.
  • Competitive Analysis:
    • Monitor and analyze competitors’ SEO strategies to identify opportunities to outperform them and improve our website’s ranking.
  • Analytics and Reporting:
    • Use tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, and other SEO reporting platforms to track website performance, measure SEO effectiveness, and provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.

What We Need From You

  • 4-5+ years of experience in SEO, digital marketing, or a related field, with a proven track record of improving organic search rankings and driving traffic.
  • In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms, ranking factors, and best practices for on-page and off-page SEO.
  • Proficient in using keyword research tools like Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Moz to identify and target high-volume, low-competition keywords.
  • Ability to create engaging, informative, and SEO-optimized content that aligns with audience needs and search intent.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and website structure to implement on-page SEO changes. Knowledge of website performance and user experience factors is also valuable.
  • Ability to analyze website performance using analytics tools and interpret data to make data-driven decisions and refine SEO strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and present clear SEO strategies and results.
