The Work You'll Do:
As we evolve into an enterprise platform with a diverse portfolio of products, we need a strategic operator to drive execution excellence at scale. The Product Operations Lead – Delivery Excellence will build and manage the systems, structures, and practices that connect our strategic goals to the day-to-day work of our product and engineering teams.
This role bridges the gap between what was planned and what is actually happening — enabling proactive change management without disruption. You’ll partner closely with VPs, product leaders, and engineering leads to coordinate efforts when plans go off track, surface tradeoffs, and present structured options for executive decision-making. This is not an agile coaching role — it’s an operational leadership role focused on progress, clarity, and accountability.
More specifically, you will:
-
Operationalize and maintain the product execution hierarchy: objectives → initiatives → epics → stories
-
Track delivery progress at every level to support executive visibility and reporting
-
Align product and engineering on how to categorize work types (e.g., new features, tech debt, maintenance) for transparency and reporting
-
Define and scale shared standards for Definition of Ready, Definition of Done, NFRs, acceptance criteria, and product quality
-
Stand up dashboards and systems that monitor capacity, dependencies, and prioritization risks
-
Coordinate stakeholders and VPs when delivery risks emerge — facilitate conversations to resolve scope, timing, or resourcing
-
Lead proactive re-prioritization efforts when plans slip, providing structured tradeoff scenarios
-
Help product and engineering teams articulate the story of execution: what’s working, what’s at risk, and what’s next
-
Create and maintain a product health scorecard that helps drive focus, maintain quality, and align execution to outcomes
-
Roll up execution data into strategic, executive-ready reporting aligned to business objectives
-
Embed scalable delivery practices through coaching, not process policing
Success Looks Like
-
Roadmap delivery confidence improves quarter over quarter
-
Teams adopt shared execution hygiene, work type categorization, and DoR/DoD standards
-
Leadership has a clear view of delivery status, risks, and tradeoffs
-
Quality is measured and managed consistently using product health indicators
-
Change management feels structured — not reactive
-
PMs and engineering leaders feel supported, not over-managed
Who You’ll Work With
-
Product Managers and Engineering Leaders
-
Scrum Masters and QA Leads
-
Product Operations peers (Insights, Planning, Portfolio)
-
Cross-functional stakeholders and executive sponsors
-
VP-level leaders when alignment or escalation is needed
What We Need From You
-
Have led delivery operations or execution excellence in a scaling SaaS organization
-
Are fluent in connecting strategy to day-to-day work and surfacing when plans drift
-
Can facilitate high-stakes tradeoff discussions with clarity and neutrality
-
Know how to align teams around definitions of work, readiness, and done
-
Understand capacity planning and can read signals in execution data
-
Can build and maintain scorecards that inform focus and action
-
Know how to make exec reporting simple, relevant, and decision-ready
-
Are a systems thinker who brings calm, structure, and clarity to complexity
