The Work You'll Do:

Ready to take your compliance expertise to the next level? As a Compliance Services Team Lead, you'll blend client service excellence with team leadership to deliver outstanding results for our most complex accounts. You'll guide and mentor a team of Compliance Services Associates and Representatives while serving as a technical expert for our clients. This dynamic role puts you at the intersection of client success and team development, where your organizational talents and technical knowledge will create meaningful impact for both our clients and your colleagues.

More specifically, you will:

  • Deliver client services utilizing Sovos' Tax Information Reporting proprietary software
  • Serve as dedicated lead on assigned accounts, managing a client workload approximately 70% of non-team lead peers
  • Monitor CSA and CSR day-to-day tasks (approximately 30% of your workload)
  • Communicate clear instructions and determine completion timelines to keep team tasks on track
  • Manage the flow of daily tasks and questions while creating reports for your direct manager
  • Serve as technical team lead to train new CSAs & CSRs as assigned (direct support not exceeding 4 staff)
  • Provide quality control support in lieu of direct manager
  • Identify, prioritize, and resolve client issues while coordinating with internal departments
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and lead internal improvement projects
  • Develop re-usable documentation and training materials, leading training sessions as needed
  • Work with clients and jurisdictions to investigate complex issues and negotiate solutions

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a client support/services capacity
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience with Sovos' Tax Information Reporting proprietary software
  • Excellent time management, decision making, and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills
  • Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
