The Work You'll Do:

At Sovos, we're seeking a transformational leader to modernize how our product organization plans, delivers, and scales for growth. As the Director of Product Transformation, you'll drive enterprise-wide programs that align quarterly planning, tooling, and delivery execution to our strategic goals, enabling smarter, faster decisions by embedding scalable practices, automation, and ROI tracking across the organization.

This is a unique opportunity to shape how a global SaaS leader operates—bringing together process, tooling, and data to accelerate growth. You'll influence how we deliver value to our 100,000+ customers across 100+ countries, helping transform tax compliance from a business requirement to a strategic advantage.

More specifically, you will:

  • Design and implement cross-functional transformation initiatives that align planning and execution with business outcomes, creating measurable impact across the organization
  • Lead the rollout of new operating models and workflows, measuring their success and adjusting with agility based on feedback and results to ensure continuous improvement
  • Identify and implement AI-driven efficiencies across planning, execution, and insight generation to streamline operations and enhance decision-making capabilities
  • Establish mechanisms to track forecast vs. actual delivery, initiative-level ROI, and team performance over time, creating accountability and visibility
  • Own and optimize systems like Jira, Jira Product Discovery, Confluence, and Salesforce to support quarterly planning and enterprise execution at scale
  • Champion Agile best practices and ensure they are scaled across teams with appropriate ceremonies, artifacts, and metrics that drive consistency and quality
  • Facilitate quarterly planning kickoffs, cross-functional dependency sessions, and executive readouts to align execution with strategy and business priorities

What We Need From You

  • 5+ years in SaaS product, engineering, or operations roles, with 5+ years leading in both planning and execution environments
  • Deep knowledge of Agile frameworks, with active SCRUM certifications (e.g., CSM, CSPO, SAFe) and strong understanding of the SDLC and agile delivery best practices
  • Proven ability to roll out and scale major transformation programs, with metrics and iteration that demonstrate measurable business impact
  • Proficiency in Jira, Jira Product Discovery, Confluence, Salesforce, and experience identifying and implementing AI-powered solutions to improve efficiency
  • Clear communication skills with strong change leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities, connecting execution to outcomes like revenue, churn, and margin improvement
  • Understanding of capitalizable development practices, time tracking models, and experience designing portfolio governance or implementing operating models at scale (preferred)
  • Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
