The Work You'll Do:

The LATAM Senior Accounting Manager will lead all accounting operations across Latin America, ensuring full compliance with local GAAP, tax requirements, and internal controls, while aligning results to US GAAP for consolidated reporting.

This role goes beyond transactional oversight: it plays a strategic role in enabling AI-driven accounting workflows, supporting entity rationalization, and partnering cross-functionally to drive accuracy, speed, and scalability in a tech-enabled finance environment.

The ideal candidate brings operational precision, cross-country agility, and a proactive mindset to help modernize finance in one of the most complex regions globally

More specifically, you will:

  • Lead the LATAM accounting team, providing guidance, training, and structure to drive both local compliance and global alignment.
  • Oversee daily operations including AR, AP, General Ledger, Intercompany, Payroll, and Local Tax Accounting across all LATAM entities.
  • Ensure timely, accurate month-end and quarter-end closes, aligning with corporate timelines and using AI-assisted tools where available.
  • Manage statutory compliance (e.g., tax filings, local audits, financial statements) across jurisdictions, leveraging automation where applicable.
  • Act as a key business partner to regional and global functions — including FP&A, Tax, Legal, Treasury, and Operations — to enable informed decision-making.
  • Support and lead entity consolidation and rationalization efforts, with proper accounting treatment, compliance, and integration of impacted entities.
  • Contribute to M&A execution, including due diligence, financial integration, and post-acquisition control alignment.
  • Champion the adoption of AI and automation tools in accounting processes (e.g., auto-reconciliation, anomaly detection, reporting bots).
  • Collaborate with the Global Finance Systems and Transformation teams to enhance ERP performance, data integrity, and finance digitization across LATAM.
  • Support all internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and documentation across regional entities.

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (Contador Público preferred where applicable)
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience with regional or multicounty scope
  • Deep understanding of local GAAPs (e.g., Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile) and reconciliation with US GAAP
  • Demonstrated experience with statutory reporting, local audits, and tax compliance
  • M&A experience preferred, including integration of acquired entities
  • Familiarity with AI tools in finance (e.g., NetSuite One, TriTech, Flocast, invoice capture, or ERP automations)
  • ERP expertise (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and strong Excel/data skills
  • Fluent in Spanish and professional English, Desired: Portuguese
