The Work You'll Do:

At Sovos, we're looking for a highly strategic and execution-focused Vice President, Services Operations to lead operational excellence across our Professional Services and Managed Services organizations. This leader will own all aspects of operational reporting, analytics, financial planning support, and business processes that drive scalable, efficient, and high-quality service delivery. In addition, this role will manage a dedicated Services Sales Support team responsible for partnering with Sales to scope services engagements, develop pricing, and generate Statements of Work (SOWs). The ideal candidate combines strong operational acumen, cross-functional leadership, and a deep understanding of services delivery within a SaaS or software environment.

Services Operations & Strategy

  • Develop and lead the overall operations strategy for Professional Services and Managed Services to drive scalability, margin improvement, and delivery excellence.
  • Build and manage capacity planning, resource management, forecasting, and project tracking processes.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on delivery efficiency, process optimization, and cost control.

Reporting, Analytics & Insights

  • Own all services reporting and analytics, including KPIs such as utilization, billability, backlog, attach rate, project health, margin, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner closely with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, and performance tracking for services lines of business.
  • Deliver executive-level dashboards and insights to support strategic decision-making.

Services Sales Support

  • Lead a team that supports the Sales organization by scoping services engagements, estimating effort and cost, and creating SOWs.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Delivery leadership to ensure SOWs are accurate, profitable, and aligned with delivery capabilities.
  • Establish scalable processes and templates to improve velocity and consistency in service proposals and SOW generation.

Strategic Leadership & AI Implementation

  • Develop operational strategy supporting both managed services and professional services delivery teams
  • Lead AI and automation initiatives across service operations and project delivery
  • Design implementation methodologies and accelerators for global professional services delivery
  • Partner with leadership teams to align operational capabilities with business objectives
  • Drive digital transformation and process optimization across all service delivery models

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with leaders in Sales, Finance, Legal, Product, and Delivery to align services strategy and execution.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on services performance, risks, and growth opportunities.

Systems & Tools

  • Oversee the evaluation, implementation, and optimization of systems and tools supporting services operations (e.g., Salesforce.com, Cloud Coach, Quicksight, NetSuite).
  • Ensure data integrity and process alignment across platforms

What We Ask of You:

  • 10+ years of experience in Services Operations, Professional Services, or a related function in a SaaS or software company.
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership role with direct accountability for operations, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Proven success supporting both Professional Services and Managed Services organizations.
  • Deep expertise in services metrics, financial modeling, and services sales support processes.
  • Strong background in leading teams responsible for SOW creation, pricing, and solution scoping.
  • Proficiency with PSA tools, Salesforce, and BI platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire.
