The Work You'll Do:

At Sovos, we're transforming how businesses navigate the evolving regulatory landscape while simultaneously modernizing our technical infrastructure. We're seeking a Business Analyst and AI Composer who can support our teams in reimagining the way we work. Turning compliance maintenance, onboarding, and documentation challenges into opportunities for technical growth and excellence.

This hands-on role combines analyst skills with AI tool knowledge to deliver value within both technical and non-technical teams. As part of Engineering and working alongside our Architecture team, this role offers excellent learning opportunities that will help shape your career growth.

The Business Analyst and AI Composer will support the discovery, development, and modernization of our global processes. This role works across multiple functional areas within Product Development and Management.

More specifically, you will:

• Work with stakeholders to discover bottlenecks that AI can help to optimize
• Learn to navigate diverse technical domains
• Foster an Innovation Culture Help evaluate AI tools and platforms to enhance team productivity
• Invest in Our Growth Learn from lawyers, architects, and other leaders at Sovos to optimize workflows in our Product Development
• Build Trust Understand a process - and then work with owners to help them automate and improve

What We Need From You

• 1-3 years of development experience or equivalent educational background
• Interest in AI coding assistants and willingness to learn professional applications (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Anthropic's Claude, OpenAI's models)
• Familiarity with business workflows and eagerness to find ways to optimize them
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and ask good questions
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with a desire to understand both immediate fixes and long-term improvements
• Strong collaboration skills and eagerness to learn from more experienced team members
• Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
