The Work You'll Do:

At Sovos, we're transforming how companies around the world manage tax compliance. As a Sr. Manager/Director, Global Demand Generation & Customer Marketing, you will lead the strategy and execution of global campaigns and customer marketing programs that directly drive pipeline creation and acceleration across Sovos' businesses worldwide. This role blends hands-on program management with executive-level visibility, requiring a leader who thrives on accountability, speed, and measurable results.

You will design and deliver global campaigns that can be localized in-region, build programs that expand customer advocacy and engagement, and align tightly with sales leadership on growth priorities. You will manage a small, high-performing team while also collaborating cross-functionally with product marketing, corporate marketing, events, and field teams to ensure consistency and impact.

This is a global role covering nearly every Sovos market and requires strong experience working across geographies, time zones, and cultural contexts.

More specifically, you will:

  • Own end-to-end campaign strategy and creative development for global initiatives, creating cohesive, multi-touch campaigns that align with business objectives and can be adapted for regional execution
  • Design themed campaign frameworks that provide consistent global campaign planning while allowing regional teams flexibility for local market customization and cultural relevance
  • Develop comprehensive campaign playbooks with creative assets, messaging guidelines, channel strategies, and execution timelines that regional teams can implement effectively
  • Build and execute global demand generation campaigns that can be localized by regional teams, driving consistent pipeline impact
  • Lead global content syndication and top-of-funnel programs to generate high-quality leads at scale
  • Partner with BDR, field, and event marketing teams to ensure seamless execution and follow-up on global programs
  • Oversee development and optimization of nurture and drip campaigns, with measurable reporting on engagement, conversion, and pipeline contribution
  • Collaborate with digital marketing to ensure programs around paid search, GEO/SEO, and paid social map to global programs
  • Manage lead flow processes end-to-end with precision, ensuring follow-up, routing, and tracking are executed flawlessly
  • Own and deliver against pipeline generation targets with a rigorous focus on metrics, ROI, and attribution
  • Represent marketing on the executive-level pipeline council, aligning on priorities and progress with sales leadership
  • Develop and manage customer advocacy programs including case studies, references, user groups, and community engagement
  • Create and execute cross-sell and upsell campaigns measured by pipeline and revenue impact
  • Manage a small global team with clear priorities, accountability, and professional growth opportunities

What We Need From You

  • 8–12+ years of B2B demand generation and customer marketing experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; MBA a plus
  • Demonstrated success leading global campaigns and programs that deliver measurable pipeline results
  • Strong executive presence with ability to represent marketing in senior-level forums
  • Experience managing and developing a high-performing team
  • Track record of tight alignment with sales, BDR, and field teams
  • Unique ability to balance deep analytical work with creative development
  • Data-driven approach with deep analytical skills and proven ability to optimize based on metrics and ROI
  • Customer marketing experience including advocacy, references, and cross-sell/upsell program success
  • Proven ability to work effectively across global markets, time zones, and cultural differences
  • High sense of urgency, adaptability, and willingness to be hands-on
  • Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
