The Work You'll Do:
As a Project Manager at Sovos, you'll be the driving force behind successful implementations that help Fortune 1000 companies transform their tax compliance operations across Latin America and beyond. In this role, you'll orchestrate complex projects that directly impact how businesses navigate Mexico's evolving CFDI requirements, SAT mandates, and cross-border compliance challenges.
You'll leverage cutting-edge project management tools and AI-powered analytics to deliver implementations that span multiple countries and time zones. Working closely with diverse teams across the Americas, you'll ensure our clients successfully deploy solutions that process billions of transactions while maintaining compliance with local and international regulations. Your expertise will be essential in bridging technical requirements with business objectives, ensuring every project delivers tangible value.

More specifically, you will:
- Manage the complete lifecycle of multiple concurrent projects from initiation through closure, ensuring on-time delivery while maintaining budgetary control and exceptional quality standards
- Develop comprehensive project scopes and objectives in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility while balancing client needs with resource availability
- Plan and manage project resources effectively across distributed teams, coordinating with consultants, technical specialists, and client stakeholders to achieve implementation goals
- Oversee all billable time and expenses for assigned projects, maintaining profitability while ensuring transparent communication with clients about project investments
- Provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders through weekly meetings and status reports, maintaining clear communication channels throughout the implementation lifecycle
- Proactively identify risks and manage change control processes, developing contingency plans and communicating scope impacts to ensure project success
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation using modern project management tools, establishing repeatable processes that drive efficiency
- Serve as the primary escalation point for project-related issues, making confident decisions that balance client satisfaction with project constraints
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in project management, business administration, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience managing projects in software or professional services companies, preferably with exposure to SaaS implementations
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting aggressive deadlines
- Proficiency with project management tools including Microsoft Project and PSA solutions (OpenAir or similar), plus advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Superior customer service orientation with experience working with Fortune 1000 companies and managing executive-level relationships
- Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English (verbal and written), with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences
- Strong organizational, time management, and decision-making capabilities with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Sovos locations, events, and client sites as needed to ensure project success
