The Work You'll Do:

As a key member of the Sovos Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, you'll be at the intersection of strategy and execution, driving financial insights that shape our business trajectory. In this role ,you'll leverage cutting-edge financial tools and AI-enhanced analytics to transform complex data into actionable insights. Working closely with leaders across the business, you'll help Sovos navigate the dynamic landscape of compliance technology while maintaining our position as a market leader serving half the Fortune 500.

More specifically, you will:

  • Lead the execution of monthly financial forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range planning activities while continuously enhancing forecasting tools and processes through innovative solutions and AI-driven methodologies
  • Transform financial data into compelling stories by understanding key drivers of financial results and clearly communicating insights to senior management and the Board of Directors
  • Build strategic partnerships with business departments to achieve financial objectives, gaining alignment on goals while providing objective analytical support to influence and reinforce business decisions
  • Project manage the Board of Directors' monthly reporting process, ensuring accuracy of financial narratives while coordinating deliverables across both peers and senior leadership
  • Design and implement enhanced financial forecasting tools and processes, leveraging technology to drive efficiency and deeper insights across the FP&A function
  • Provide meaningful business reviews with a focus on performance indicators and key drivers, developing true ownership of financial goals across stakeholder groups
  • Guide financial processes within the FP&A team through indirect influence, establishing yourself as a thought leader who drives performance forward

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting (MBA preferred) with 5-7 years of experience in a financial analysis or FP&A role
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills with the ability to transform complex data into visually compelling presentations that tell a clear financial story
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, particularly Salesforce and NetSuite (advanced proficiency preferred)
  • Exceptional communication skills with advanced English proficiency, capable of presenting complex financial concepts to diverse audiences from analysts to executives
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to see beyond the numbers and understand business drivers, market dynamics, and competitive positioning
  • Experience with financial modeling, scenario planning, and variance analysis with a track record of improving forecasting accuracy and process efficiency
  • Natural leadership abilities with strong interpersonal skills to influence without direct authority and build collaborative partnerships across the organization
  • Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
