The Work You'll Do:
As an Enterprise Account Manager at Sovos, you'll be at the forefront of driving growth within our existing customer base—unlocking untapped potential and expanding relationships with clients who rely on our solutions to stay compliant in an increasingly complex regulatory world. This isn't just about renewals; it's about strategic partnership, deep discovery, and positioning Sovos as an indispensable partner in our clients' success.
You'll combine consultative selling with sharp business acumen to identify opportunities where clients can leverage more of our compliance products. Through thoughtful contract reviews, value-driven conversations, and expert territory planning, you'll help clients navigate their compliance journey while driving meaningful revenue growth for Sovos.
More specifically, you will:
- Drive strategic account growth by reviewing contracts and identifying expansion opportunities where clients can increase their usage of Sovos compliance solutions
- Build and manage a robust, balanced pipeline across your assigned territory, consistently achieving account growth targets and exceeding revenue quotas
- Deliver profitable contract expansions and renewals by demonstrating clear ROI and aligning Sovos solutions with evolving client needs
- Master complex enterprise negotiations, working confidently with procurement, legal teams, and executive stakeholders to close high-value agreements
- Maintain accurate forecasting and detailed sales data in Salesforce.com, providing visibility into pipeline health and deal progression
- Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader, educating clients on compliance trends, regulatory changes, and innovative use cases they may not have considered
- Develop customer-centric engagement strategies that prioritize long-term partnership over transactional interactions
- Build year-over-year consistency in performance and accountability through disciplined territory management and strategic planning
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure seamless implementation, customer satisfaction, and successful product adoption
- Leverage external partners and client stakeholders to gather intelligence, solve challenges, and accelerate deal velocity
- Represent Sovos at client events, industry conferences, and networking opportunities to strengthen relationships and expand market presence
- Mentor and share best practices with the broader sales team, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and collective success
What We Need From You
- 2+ years of account management and quota-carrying sales experience; B2B sales experience strongly preferred
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding annual quota for at least two consecutive years
- Experience with SaaS solutions and cloud-based environments is highly desirable
- Demonstrated success in growing and retaining a book of business while consistently surpassing revenue targets
- Ability to deliver value-based, consultative sales presentations by actively listening to customer needs and co-creating solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate difficult conversations with professionalism and empathy
- Experience managing procurement processes, legal reviews, and complex renewal negotiations
- Self-motivated team player with integrity, drive, and determination to achieve exceptional results
- High degree of self-awareness with a commitment to personal development and continuous learning
- Ability to leverage technology platforms (Salesforce, communication tools, etc.) to maximize productivity and effectiveness
- Willingness to travel moderately (less than 25%) for client meetings, trade shows, and company events
- Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
